“It is six years since special agent Samuel Lynch left the FBI following the disappearance of his son, Daniel. Lynch believes an underground organisation known as The Railroad is responsible and has never stopped searching.

When Special Agent Sandra Rose investigates a house invasion gone wrong, she discovers the assailant has the legendary, and infamous, Railroad tattoo carved onto his back and he claims to know Daniel’s whereabouts.

Rose draws Lynch in to her case, and together they become embroiled in an unparalleled world of violence and evil.

It seems that to see his son again, Lynch will have to confront his greatest fear and face the ultimate test: an encounter with the Railroad’s enigmatic and deadly leader, The Controller.”

What I Thought

I really quite enjoyed reading The Controller. It was fast paced but didn’t omit any detail. It had one particularly nasty crime scene but most of the horror came from not knowing who you can trust. FBI Agent Rose doesn’t even know if she can trust her partner.

Ex FBI agent Lynch (definitely doesn’t trust anybody) is brought in when a suspect named him and what follows After is a tricky game where the bad guys always seem to be one step ahead. The stakes are high and everyone has something to lose. With no help from her superiors can Agent Rose help Lynch without getting herself in trouble?

This was a great action packed thriller and it ends kind of open so I hope that means we will be hearing more from Lynch and Rose in the future as I liked their characters and their all or nothing attitude to getting things done.

Definitely an author I would like to read more from.

Many thanks to Emma for having me on this tour, all opinions are my own and I am not paid to give them.
