Even The Devil needs a holiday
Hello and welcome to the LoveBooksGroupTours blog tour for Hellcorp by Jonathan Whitelaw. Many thanks to Kelly and Urbane Publications for having me on this tour.
About The Book
“Life is hard for The Devil and he desperately wants to take a holiday. Growing weary from playing the cosmic bad guy, he resolves to set up a company that will do his job for him so the sins of the world will tick over while he takes a vacation. God tells him he can have his vacation just as soon as he solves an ancient crime.
But nothing is ever easy and before long he is up to his pitchfork in solving murders, desperate to crack the case so he can finally take the holiday he so badly needs…”

What I Thought
This was such a cracking read! I love getting a story from The Devils perspective, poor guy is overworked and just wants a holiday. He sets up a company to do his work so he can take a break but not before God has something to say about it.
This made me laugh out loud it has some fantastic lines in it and I love the interaction between The Devil and his human companion Jill. It’s very clever and witty, it even gets quite deep towards the end and makes you think The Devil might not be so different to us after all.. apart from all the sin and torture and eternal damnation etc..
And what of God in all of this, what does The Devil really think of him?
A thoroughly enjoyable read, I look forward to the next book which will be our later this year.
Thanks again to Kelly from LoveBooksGroupTours and Urbane Publishers for having me on this tour, all opinions are my own and I am not paid to give them.
