Had a proper giggle to myself with this blog post title because I’m clearly getting old and actually think I’m hilarious!
I want to say a thank you to Netflix for bringing out shows like Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina because thanks to them I have discovered Archie Comics. I love comics and graphic novels but I don’t get to read them as often as I would like. After watching Sabrina I just wanted more and I was pleasantly surprised to find the comics, then I discovered that the show to begin with was based on comics and Riverdale was included in all of that. So having discovered this I had a look at Archie Comics and found out they did a relaunch of them all with new look and design to update, totally obsessed now and I want to read them all!
I think its great that these comics started out in 1939 and they are still gaining new fans to this day. Even though I grew up watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch and I’m pretty sure Josie and the Pussycats was in a cartoon, I never knew they came from comics but I’m glad to have made the discovery so I can add to my collection.
Do you read comics and graphic novels?
I don’t read them, but I’d like to give them a go just don’t know where to start.

Great post!
I totally love Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Really great TV Series! I haven’t read the graphic novels yet, but hopefully soon.
The only graphic novel I ever read was Fun Home. It was made into a Broadway musical. Really great, both novel and show.

How closely do the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” comics match the Netflix show? I ask, because I’m wondering if reading the comics will spoil the show. If the early issues of the comics closely match the first season of CAoS, then I’d bet that later seasons of the show will match later issues of the comics, too.

The comics are darker I think and theyβre set in the 60s you get more of Sabrinaβs background in the first one and thereβs more focus on Madam Satan, stuff has happened in the comics that hasnβt happened in the show so I suppose itβs a possibility that they could show up later in another season.
