Oh hey I’ve got a little update for you today.. an exciting update!

This last week has been a bit mad with Octocon and all the rest but I’ll be back to reading and reviewing soon. So you may remember back in September I mentioned I had made it as a finalist in the Blog Awards Ireland in the personal blogs for Books & Literature. Well I decided to buy a ticket and go for the craic and sure look see what happens. The Mammy came over from Galway and we got all dolled up and made our way up to Dublin.

Here’s me trying to look like I know what I’m doing, I’m obviously a professional at being papped I even brought my red-eye stare 😆 the whole night was a bit mad, the venue was quite crowded with barely a seat and I stupidly wore heels that I couldn’t walk in by the end of the night (barely even at the start!) but sure look we had a right laugh and there was a nice bit of a buzz about the place.

I got such a kick out of seeing my name come up in the finalists list. I didn’t go there expecting to win I was actually hoping I would manage to get bronze so you can only imagine my surprise when I was announced as the winner!! I screamed and shakily made my way up to the stage I asked your man was he sure it was for me 😂 I was only delighted!

I feel like I’ve been on cloud nine ever since. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that reads, shares and supports my blog it means the absolute world to me, you guys keep me going and it’s just fantastic. Over the moon!!
