Hello and welcome to the Random Things Tour for After He Died by Michael J Malone.
Many thanks to Anne for having me on this tour and to Orenda Books for sending me a copy to read and review.
“You need to know who your husband really is..”
Ooo chilling words to whisper into the ear of a grieving widow at her husbands funeral, and those words set the tone for this book, after all Paula knows who her husband was.. doesn’t she?
About The Book
When Paula Gadd’s husband of almost thirty years dies, just days away from the seventh anniversary of their son Christopher’s death, her world falls apart. Grieving and bereft, she is stunned when a young woman approaches her at the funeral service, and slips something into her pocket. A note suggesting that Paula’s husband was not all that he seemed…
When the two women eventually meet, a series of revelations challenges everything Paula thought she knew, and it becomes immediately clear that both women’s lives are in very real danger. Both a dark, twisty slice of domestic noir and taut, explosive psychological thriller, After He Died is also a chilling reminder that the people we trust the most can harbour the deadliest secrets…

What I Thought
After He Died will keep you guessing, trust no one is all I will say! As if it wasn’t bad enough that Paula’s husband has died, and only a few years after losing their only son in tragic circumstances, Paula now learns that there was more to her husband than she will ever know.
Paula is thrust into a world far removed from the comforts and luxury she is used to and the bodies just keep turning up. Who was her husband really and what has he got her involved in?
A really intriguing story you will keep turning the pages but you will never guess what was going on. An engrossing read that keeps giving, quick to get through so make yourself a mug of tea and settle in.
Thanks again to Anne and Orenda Books for having me on this blog tour, all opinions are my own and I am not paid to give them.
