Where is my Mind? – The Pixies #MusicMonday

I thought it was high time I joined in on Drew’s Music Monday Meme, I always enjoy seeing what songs people will throwback to and every week I think damn I should have posted a song, so here we go!

This week I have chosen to share Where is my Mind by the Pixies with you as it is a favorite song of mine, one which I named my first blog after and continue to use through my social media.

Ooh, stop

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

Your head will collapse

But there’s nothing in it

And you’ll ask yourself

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Way out in the water

See it swimmin’

I was swimmin’ in the Caribbean

Animals were hiding behind the rock

Except the little fish

But they told me, he swears

Tryin’ to talk to me koi koy

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Way out in the water

See it swimmin’

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

Your head will collapse

If there’s nothing in it

And you’ll ask yourself

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Way out in the water

See it swimmin’

Ooh

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground

Ooh

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

Ooh

Ooh

This was released in 1988 ( I was 2!) and came from the album Surfer Rosa, but you might know it more from the movie Fight Club.

  1. I love this song! It was constantly played on The Leftovers on HBO. I never heard of this song before that, but it’s definitely one of my favorites now. I can’t hear that song and not think of The Leftovers.
